CSA Haul: 2010-11-07

New this week: swiss chard and round headed cabbage.

Next week predictions: more delicious beets, the remainder of the meat share (1 lb. pork sausage and 1 frozen hen), and maybe some broccoli and carrots.

15 oz.	swiss chard		I wonder if these would make veggie chips as tasty as kale?
1 lb. 8 oz.	cabbage		We got to choose between this or napa cabbage.
8 oz.	goat cheese
1 bunch	sweet turnips		We're chopping up 2 weeks worth of turnips (both colors) into cubes; adding a small, cubed potato; boiling and then making mashed (or, possibly pureed) turnips!
1 bag	salad mix
2-4	watermelon radishes		I'm going to slice these VERY thinly and eat as snacks with cheese and crackers.
1 lb. 1 oz.	sweet peppers		These were mostly the yummy long green ones.

NOTE: We are part of our local CSA (Small Farms, run by the Love is Love farm). This is yet another post in which I keep track of how much we get of what, so I can have fun taking pictures and making lists. :)
