Evaluating Information on the Internet

Abstract: Brandt emphasizes the importance of and gives models for evaluating information sources on the internet by adapting traditional evaluative techniques and criteria for an online environment.

Review

Brandt rightly emphasizes the importance of traditional information literacy skills for the new uber-medium that is the internet, but his audience is college-age.  Information literacy should be integrated into early public school curricula, as well. With so many people growing up in this new economy, it has become vital that all citizens possess these skills.
